How do I set up auto-ordering?

This guide will walk you through how to set up automatic ordering of your products in Lab Fusion.

1. Click “Inventory”

On the home page, click the inventory tab.

2. Click “UPDATE”

Notice how all of the products you have in stock, or have recently ordered, show in inventory.

3. Click “UPDATE”

You can update your current inventory, which is what you have in stock at the moment, should the number be different than what is listed. Doing things like direct reads can make this number inaccurate, so be sure and update it first.

4. Set order quantity

Set your order quantity to reflect how many units you would like to order when it is time. For example, here we are choosing to order 100 18 C’s

5. Set your trigger limit

Next, set the trigger limit for when to order the product. The order will automatically place when you are one unit below this number.

6. Set your trigger limit

So, in this example we have 325 18 C’s on hand. We want to make sure that we always have plenty of cups in stock. So, we set the system to order 100 cups when we are down to only 99 left in stock.

7. Click “Update”

When you have set all of your quantities, Click Update to finalize your changes! You are all set to go from here!
