Description of Rapid Cups and Their Purpose

These documents are helpful for determining which rapid cup to use because they clearly show:
- The number of panels (how many substances are tested per cup)
- Whether the test includes an SVT strip (Specimen Validity Test) for detecting adulteration or dilution
- The intended use (for example, employment screening or forensic testing)
- And most importantly, they break down exactly which drugs are tested in each specific cup, such as THC (marijuana), cocaine, opiates, amphetamines, methamphetamine, benzodiazepines, barbiturates, PCP, and others, depending on the model.
This breakdown allows testing programs or employers to choose the right panel based on their screening needs — for instance, a 6-panel cup for basic workplace testing or an 18-panel cup for more comprehensive testing that includes prescription drugs and synthetic substances.
Cutoff Levels Explained
The rapid cup data sheets provide detailed information about which substances are tested in each cup and the specific cut-off levels for detection. While the cut-off levels are shown in the PDF and not printed directly on the cup, the sheets help determine which rapid cup is best suited for your testing needs. Each data sheet also breaks down which drugs are included in the cup.
Additionally, the accuracy of each cup is listed on the form included in the box the cups come in. This accuracy is shown as a percentage agreement with GC/MS (Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry), providing a measure of how reliable the test results are compared to laboratory confirmation methods.
