DNA Testing Centers, who are they and do you need the Home Office’s permission to collect for them?

1) They are similar in concept to a TPA for Drug Testing. They are indeed your competition for B2C DNA testing, just like DISA is your competition in drug testing. We still work with DISA as it is good revenue we wouldn’t have otherwise had at that time.

2) The Home Office maintains a list of preferred vendors. This company is asking to be a customer, not a vendor, so you don’t need to run them by the Home Office prior to working with them.

I love seeing all of you weighing in on your experiences! While we will leave the decision up to you to work with them, I suggest keeping in mind some of the valid points that your fellow franchisees mentioned:

1) With no relationship, payment upfront is a great idea with a new TPA

2) There can be confusion among their customers about who to get results from so you might have them stop by. Time spent fixing a TPA’s customer’s misunderstanding should definitely be considered.
– you don’t get paid for that!

3) You don’t want to do collections for too cheap. The Home Office would usually charge between $30 and $50 to collect a DNA sample for another company.
