How to add an employee to Gmail
Alias Email Creation
Reach out to the FECs via Email or Franconnect ticket. Please provide them with the First and last name of the employee and the clinic they are working under (Even if you only own one location please provide it to the corporate office)
Once you receive the alias email from the home office please follow the steps below.
Adding a Signature Block
- Find and select the setting icon in the top right of the page
- Select “see all settings”
- Under the General tab scroll till you see the “signature” section
- Select “Create New” under signature
- Add the name of employee
- Copy and paste the signature block text from below and edit the necessary information

7. Make sure clinic email name is stated under both tabs: FOR NEW EMAILS USE and ON REPLY/FORWARD USE
8. Make sure the box “Insert signature before quoted text in replies and remove the “–” line that precedes it.” is checked
9. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and select “Save Changes”.
Adding the Alias to the Account
- Find and select the setting icon in the top right of the page
- Select “see all settings”
- Under the Accounts tab
- Under the “send mail as section” select “add another email address”
- In the pop-up box input the Name of the employee and the employees alias email address.
- Ensure that the “Treat as an alias” box is checked
- Select “Next Step”
- Select “Verify email”
- Follow the verification steps sent to the email
Adding a Filter for a Clean Clinic Inbox
- Find and select the setting icon in the top right of the page
- Select “see all settings”
- Under Filters and Blocked addresses
- Under the “The following filters are applied to all incoming mail” section select “Create New Filter”
- In the “To” line add the employees alias email
- Select “Create Filter”
- Select “Skip the inbox”, “Never send to spam” and, “Apply the label”
- Select “choose label” and select “New Label” ** Name the label the name of the employee**
- Select “Create”
- Select “Create Filter”
