Ultraflex vs. Flex Testing
What is the difference between Ultraflex and Flex testing?
Ultraflex and Flex are both electronic drug testing options offered through Fastest Labs, but the key difference is the laboratory provider used for each program. Ultraflex utilizes Averhealth as the testing lab, while Flex uses Quest Diagnostics. This lab selection impacts the testing process as well as where rapid confirmation testing is sent.
What is the difference in panels?
Ultraflex panels include both standard drug testing substances and premium drug options, with additional à la carte customization available depending on the client’s needs. Pricing and available substances can be referenced in the Fastest Labs Product & Services Sheet. Flex testing is offered through several structured panel options, including Flex 14, which includes standard drugs, as well as Flex 15 and Flex 16, which include standard drugs plus synthetic opiates and alcohol. Flex 22 expands further to include extended opiates, alcohol, and additional narcotics and stimulants. Full Flex panel details can be found in the Pricing Tool.
What is Ultraflex/Flex testing?
Ultraflex and Flex testing are both fully electronic testing solutions, meaning a paper Chain of Custody Form (CCF) is not required because an electronic CCF is provided. These options also allow for significant customization, with the ability to test anywhere from a basic 5-panel up to 22 substances, including alcohol. This flexibility makes Ultraflex and Flex ideal for clients who want a targeted test, whether that means selecting a single drug, starting with a basic panel, or modifying an existing panel by adding, removing, or replacing substances.
How do you know if you have an Ultraflex or Flex panel?
To confirm whether your location is using Ultraflex or Flex, log into your Lab Dashboard, navigate to your Organization, and select the Managing tab. From there, you can view which lab provider is selected. Keep in mind that the lab shown in your dashboard will also determine where rapid confirmation testing is sent.
How do I set up Ultraflex?
To set up Ultraflex, you will need to contact LABB and request that Ultraflex be enabled for your account. Once Ultraflex has been added, you will then need to order the appropriate supplies. While you may still use the Quest single kit, Ultraflex collections require using the correct security bag for the specimen before shipment.
How do I ship my Averhealth collection?
Averhealth collections are shipped using UPS. You can order the necessary airbills through LABB to ensure your shipment is processed correctly and sent to the appropriate destination.
