Does my Multi Unit get a new card reader?

QuickBooks Online (QBO) Card Reader and Account Setup

  • We provide one QBO card reader per QBO account set up for you.
  • The number of QBO accounts you receive depends on how many entities your business operates under.

If your new location operates under the same entity:

  • You will continue using the same QBO account.
  • You can separate sales by using Class and Location Tracking within that account.
  • If you need an additional card reader, you may order one via the link below.

If your new location operates as a separate entity:

  • A new QBO account will be created for you.
  • A new card reader will be provided with that account.
