Further Testing Process Explanation- Email Template

Hello NAME,
A lab test typically takes 1-3 business days if negative for us to receive a result. The first business day of testing is the day after collection as all of our collections are overnight shipped to the lab.
Specimen 123456 has gone into further testing.
If a test is non-negative at the lab, it goes into a “further testing” process, which consists of a re-test to validate the result and then sending of the result to the MRO (Medical Review Officer) for the verification of medication against that non-negative.
This “further testing” process typically takes an additional 1-3 business days. Some drugs, like methamphetamine or fentanyl can take longer to confirm due to even more validation of illicit use.
At LATEST you should receive a positive result 6 business days after collection. Your result will be in your portal as soon as it hits our servers from the lab!
