Hello [Name],
I wanted to provide an update on the status of the lab test for Specimen 123456.
Typically, lab results are available within 1–3 business days if the test is negative. Please note that the first business day begins the day after collection, as all specimens are overnight shipped to the lab.
In this case, Specimen 123456 has entered further testing.
This occurs when an initial result is non-negative. The process includes:
- A re-test to validate the initial result
- A review by the Medical Review Officer (MRO), who verifies any declared medications related to the result
This further testing phase usually takes an additional 1–3 business days.
Please be aware that certain substances, such as methamphetamine or fentanyl, may require extended testing time for full confirmation.
At the latest, you can expect to receive a confirmed result by 6 business days after collection. As soon as the result is available, it will appear in your client portal automatically.
